Frank Colclough is a Scottish artist best known for his paintings and watercolors. Both in his depictions of maritime Scottish landscapes and floral still lifes, Colclough utilizes primary and bright colours.
Born in Wick, United Kingdom, he studied in Edinburgh and at the Camberwell Art School in London before settling in the coastal Scottish town of Alloway in 1975. The artist’s work has been exhibited in such institutions as the Royal Scottish Academy, the Royal Glasgow Institute, and the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolors. Colclough continues to live and work in Alloway, United Kingdom.
